Elevation is an important part of running.
Most trails involve some elevation gain. Most races have a tricky section. Stairs and steps might not be an appealing prospect but they offer a high-intensity spike in any workout that’s great for building fitness and resilience.
But instead of making this week’s Joy Run a hilly hell, let’s focus on what awaits you at the summit…
The views. The sense of achievement. An actual runner’s high.
It could be achieved via a famous climb. Old town steps. A castle on top of a hill. A winding staircase. The doorstep at the end of your run.
